Diyala question (original thread invisible)

Hey guys. Not really sure what happened but the Diyala thread the Cype posted in is invisible to me.

Anyway, so I'm using the index Tupolov posted the other day and I just want to make sure I'm using it right. The download is a folder called X. I have put that in my userprofile\arma3\missions\missionroot and I've enabled -filePatching in my launch parameters.

Is that it? The map seems to be playing fine but I captured a photo of Tupolov's index and I'm not seeing anywhere close to a similar amount civilian objects. Most of the small ones aren't showing up like in the photo, thus I'm not seeing the amount of civs one would expect for a map peppered with so many buildings.

Right now I have the civ obj and civilian placement modules set not to filter essentially the entire map, and although everything is glorious I'm feeling like I must have missed a step.

Yep! I can only see the thread when someone links it to me. Very odd! I'm using the index Tupolov posted:

Am I doing it right? I'm just not seeing the same amount of civ objects as the photo shows. I can see in his photo that the very small village buildings away from the larger urban areas are highlighted green but when I debug the civ placement module and don't filter, there is green but not like that.

I'm assuming I must be getting the same behavior from civ obj module too (pretty sure they use the same objects, yes?).

  4. You probably somehow hid that channel. You can probably enable it again with the channel list button on the main page. :)

That screenshot is the output of the indexing process, it's "normal" that you don't see all of the civ locations being used. Same thing happened with Da Krong from Unsung.

Yep! You genius. I had the map indexing topics hidden.

I appreciate you confirming I'm using the Diyala index correctly. I guess I'd convinced myself that the map would have an unholy amount of objectives. It has a boat load of buildings for such a small map.

I feel like the index may be playing it a little too conservatively when unfiltering civ placement and civ objs (it seems to ignore a lot of the smaller houses) but I can always ditch the insurgency and turn it into a conventional if need be. I'll need a little more time with it to know for sure. Regardless it's a glorious map so I'm thrilled it's working, without errors, and that you guys got it done.

    Thanks Marceldev.
