I have no idea whether or not this is standard behavior but I have noticed when creating missions involving occupation AI commanders it seems they have very little interest in holding objectives.
I understand the occupation AI uses less forces when attacking but aside from that when one of their objectives [Camp Rogain] are being assaulted or captured there is very little retaliation. From what I can tell this is due to their forces being used to seize an objective [Girna], but in my opinion units that are staging (assault not yet started) should leave to defend current held object and only go on the offensive once high priority objectives are safe.
This is all just assumption and I was wondering if the AI is working as intended in the above situation because it seems a little off to me from what I've read on the wiki. (Otherwise having a blast with Alive!)
I was going to make a post about the issue but found this instead, slightly annoying but not mission breaking.
I'd like to note this issue only happens when the regroup point is in open terrain.
I have been noticing a slightly inconvenient habit of the AI during staging for an attack. When the AI groups are regrouping and preparing to attack they do very little to save themselves from enemy fire. I sat beside one group watching them take fire from an enemy technical at about 650m away and they just went prone refusing to move.
This is by no means a huge issue as they usually react to infantry fire by engaging the enemy but when taking long range fire they seem to freeze up. It would be nice if they would attempt to retreat to cover when preparing an attack and taking fire (as this would prevent them from attacking without the commander being ready).
Will TRACE work with persistence or will the cleared zones reset to red every time I launch the mission? I know that it will save the status of whether or not an area is cleared but will TRACE also follow?
Thanks for the reply, I'm really loving Alive. It's everything I've wanted from Arma since I played Arma 2 warfare. This is the next best thing! (Maybe even better haha)
Will posting SITREPs and PATROLREPS influence how my AI commander does anything or is it purely a multiplayer aspect? Also should I incorporate C2ISTAR into my insurgency mission if I'm simply playing as a foot solider and not a commander?
Wow my bad, I was one version off and as soon as I updated the crash stopped.. or it might have been me changing the unit count from 1500+ to 500+.. Either way I'm happy.

I'm having a problem with persistence in an insurgency mission I made. I have been able to get everything to save correctly but as soon as I enable saving in the military commanders module(s) my server will crash at "Saving Profile Data".
I have had almost no problems with my ALiVE server up until this crash. Any help would be appreciated. (All I want is for areas we have cleared of Insurgent forces to remain clear. Nothing like loading up our mission in the middle of an insurgent HQ haha)
