It was my understanding that static weapons like mortars etc arent spawned in or used by the virtual ai commander. Am i incorrect?
So, when I play without Alive and have artillery units on the map with vCOM, the AI does a good job of calling arty on positions.
However, other than player support with arty for alive, with the player calling in fire, the Artillery units i place seem unused. How can I get the AI to effectively call fire missions on the player and ither AI?

Hey, so I'm making a mission that takes place before tablets would have been a thing. In this mission I basically want the player to have to return to base, or an outpost that has a specific Object, like a Radio, that they activate the Use command on to bring up the tablet to see Intel, Assign Tasks, etc. Is this possible to do?

I'm working on an Occupation/Insurgency type mission, and essentially what I'd like to make possible, is for once the Occupiers activate a specific trigger, a 3rd force friendly to the Insurgents arrives on the Battlefield to provide support. Ie Conventional intervention forces arrive to help insurgents.
Is this possible to do? Or does all the initialization for the ALiVE modules for AI Commander and MACC module take place at the start and is never recognized or initiated thereafter?
Has anyone indexed Schwemlitz by chance? If not, I'll give it a try but just wanted to save myself the work if so.

I'm working on an ALiVE mission taking place on Altis. Currently, I'm using units built via ORBAT with valid groups and units. In my ORBAT I've got 2 factions that BLUFOR is using. coldwar_usarmy and coldwar_usaf. I've got the Virtual Commander and Objectives using the usarmy, which has no planes in it's unit list. But then on the MACC module I've set the faction to coldwar_usaf which has A-10s, F-16s, and F-15s. Everything works fine except for the MACC module. I've got the MACC placed at an airfield, and when the mission starts it will radio out that the airbase has been setup.
However, anytime a request comes in, the MACC will refuse due to 'No aircraft available'. I've even gone so far as to manually place the aircraft in the area around the MACC module, but they still refuse with 'No aircraft available'.
I think deleted the Empty aircraft and set the MACC module to 'Place Air Assets' but they again would say 'No aircraft available'.
Does the faction being used by the Virtual AI Commander need to also be the faction that the MACC module is using? Can I not use one faction for MACC and another BLUFOR faction for the other objectives?
Can someone explain to me the Supported Group types and how ALiVE implements them? Specifically, Im referring to Motorized Infantry(MTP) and Support Infantry.
How do these differ from just Motorized Infantry and Infantry?
EDIT: Nvm found my answer from Spyder awhile back.
Motorized_MTP is just some random BIS decision. NATO uses Motorized and CSAT uses Motorized_MTP, just pick one or the other and fill it out. Support Infantry are called in for reinforcements (logcom)
That's a really good idea. I hadn't thought of doing something like that.
