    Hey guys,

    So if you are a long time lurker or regular poster, we have an ALiVE based Insurgency Mission called British Steel on our Dedicated Server right now running 24/7!

    This is a great opportunity for you to see all of the "Bells and Whistles" ALiVE has to offer, as well as Spyderblack's excellent addons mod and my Ambient Sounds pack. It's also a great opportunity to ask questions about ALiVE with our group.

    **We are using the latest test build of ALiVE on this server to stress test and check for freezes/desyncs. Make sure you download from the link below.**

    The mission is British Steel

    Synopsis:

    You are a member of the Royal Marines, charged with ridding Sangin, Afghanistan of Taliban activity. There are multi-respawns, 5 different British FOBs to use, virtual arsenal, vehicles, AI recruitment module, Close Air Support, Helo Transport, ambient Civ traffic, suicide bombers, IEDs, and much, much, more.

    Nah I'm good homey. I got an insurgency that I made that is running on my community's server that we use to play quite a bit but recently most of us have been taking a break with Arma 3 and a lot of us play The Division, War Game, and lots of other games.

    Yeah I'm taking a break of sorts too aside from brushing up my own insurgency missions in the editor. I just ordered the parts for a new PC so don't want to get too burned out while I wait. I'm gonna hit it hard after its built though. :)

    I almost pulled the trigger on The Division but $60 is a tough call for me when I'm not 100% convinced I'll love something. I regret not trying the beta and keep thinking I'll just wish it was Ghost Recon Wildlands which will probably be more up my alley anyway.

    Hero I will say me and my 2 buddies bought division and its Hella fun! It's a different style of combat from arma. No 1 shot kills. Think borderlands esc but in real world. Beautiful world and graphics. Good story. As social or solo as you want it to be. If y'all want to friend me on up lay let me know.

    That said arma never goes away for me. It's the only game that never leaves my library. ALiVE has only made that love stronger lol

    @dixon13 Heads up @AUTigerGrad ... I don't think we are allowed to advertise on here.

    My bad if I broke a rule on here. Not intending to advertise a milsim group. We're actually a relaxed, casual group. Just wanted to let folks know there is a server running a mission that is free to all to play if they want to. More to let them see how ALiVE works than anything.

    @HeroesandvillainsOS. Totally with you on the anticipation of Wildlands, it's the game im most looking foward to seeing at the moment. (Not looking forward to day 1 release though, its ubisoft after all. :P)

    I did try out the Division beta, its a bit too much bullet sponge for me, but if you where fine with that in games like Borderlands, then atleast that shouldnt bother you much. :)

    Sweet! Now you can put I back up. Love the mission man! Hero and I had a good go of it last night. Took out some insurgents then just before he had to go he went down. Stabilized him but epinephrine wouldn't bring him back up. I guessing you're using advanced ace. So you need a pak right? Do you have it set where everyone can use them?

    In the end I had to load him in the truck and rush him back to base for treatment lol

    The only issue I had was one time I tried to respawn to move to a different base and it said "respawn disabled" had to leave and rejoin. Other than that from what I've seen its a lot of fun!

    Haha, yeah. Watching him heroically try to carry my dying ass back to the truck was like watching the climax to a good war movie.

    If ALIVE wasn't randomly freezing I'd have a 32 slot server up in minutes. I have multiple versions of a Takistan Insurgency COIN mission built while I was trying different OpFor mods.

    Are you experiencing any freeze issues @AUTigerGrad ?

    Do I have permission to pass that build along to unit members to help me test? I'd like to test it with as many players as I can.

    Link restored to OP. @ski2060 We had one late night server freeze..but it was not when players were on the server. This latest dev build, from our testing, has done a great job of eliminating a ton of the desyncs/freezes as well as other bugs.
