vehicles driving around aimlessly

    Hi,

    I've set a occupation type of mission where RHS MSV forces are using Military Placement (400-batallion) in 3km radius TAOR (circle). Assigned OPCOM to control it and gave it some logistics (reinforcements) around 50 groups. I've picked mechanized composition of forces. When I start the preview, go to Zeus and fly above the TAOR forcing to create real units from profile I notice all they do is:

    • spawn men in vehicles
    • vehicles drive around aimlessly hitting each other

    Is this meant to be like that? Because it doesn't look good.

    It takes a few minutes for the ArmA AI to sort it's shit out after it's been spawned in. When you rapidly force spawn a lot of units using Zeus like this it's very noticeable. Once the AI has figured out how to do formations (this is just ArmA3 things, not ALiVE related) they'll start their patrol paths and/or get tasked by the AI Comd in the next cycle.

  3. Thanks. So I should better stay away from Zeus then. Are vehicles spawned in groups or individually? From your answer I'd say they are in group and share the BI vehicle driving bravado (overrunning own soldiers, hitting walls etc). Is there a recommended approach how to create a more credible vehicle units?

    Also, one thing I've noticed is soldiers stack spawned on the same position, for example on the balcony. They seem to share the same space ignoring collision models.
