@SpyderBlack723 Try Ctrl-Shift Right click, I believe that matches the revamped control of Ctrl-Shift Left click for placement.

Aha. Thank you. It was Ctrl+Alt+ Right Click.

    Can't believe I didn't think of that.

@JD_Wang Are you using the old Leights OPFOR or the new Project OPFOR as that's much better and up to date.

Otherwise Massi probably has a pack (I think the Chernarus pack with vehicles) which could probably work for what you want.

I didn't even know Project Opfor existed. And it works with ALiVE? I'll have to go try it and get back to you.

Would be nice if someone updated the Wiki with all of the units that work. I would, but I don't know that yet lol. Thanks!

So, I'm bumping this thread because it doesn't seem to be able to delete the markers.

In my controls, deleting spotreps/sitreps is the delete key. That doesn't work no matter how many times I press it or how zoomed in or out I am. Neither does Control + Right Click. I've tried remapping the key as well. So, I'm kinda out of ideas here...

@HeroesandvillainsOS  @JD_Wang LOL yeah I noticed that too. Pretty sure Panthera just got indexed though so you can cross that off the list soon I think! I downloaded it yesterday and it's pretty as hell.

@Friznit oooh good idea. :) I think I may try Chernarus for a conventional Russian vs Ukranian battle. That map is still playing nice with ALiVE mostly, yeah? I scouted it yesterday and feel pretty good about it assuming it works fine these days (there are differing reports when searching the forums).

Also, any word on how SMD Sahrani or Bornholm are working right now? Probably fluffed up due to the new lighting I'd gather.

What units are you using for the Ukrainians? I've been trying to find some that have armor / vehicles / static weapons. Until GREF works, I've found myself kind of stuck. I briefly tried Leights Opfor but some of those units don't even spawn, it causes the map to load infinitely, or the way they do spawn, it's not NEARLY as populated compared to if I use RHS units like Marines or Army. It's very bizarre.

I can confirm that using R3F works fine. I just did lots of Googling around to figure it out and Riley summarized what you need to do. Basically, rename the ALiVE module, add the line in the R3F script and bam, it should save.

When you place an object down with Zeus or something like that, be sure to touch it using the interaction, such as ALiVE Logistics or R3F so it saves it's position. The same applies with vehicles. Get in the vehicle to save its position.

    Dexter posted in Helicopter Patrol?.

@HeroesandvillainsOS  I actually asked a similar question about tanks over on BIS forums without an answer so let me piggyback off you in this thread if you don't mind. :)

Regarding helicopters, if you manually place them and virtualize them (making sure to use the vehicle faction name in the commander module), the commander won't just recklessly send them out on patrol. They'll wait for a known vehicle presence, so feasibly, all of them might not get sent out simultaneously depending on the motorized threat level.

Though I can't say I know whether or not tanks work the same way, thus the piggyback! ;)

I agree it would be nice to put heavy machinery in a reserve of sorts. That way there's a constant presence, but not potentially all at once (for instance, in an Assymetric, when OPCOM will only add foot infantry to the depleted forces it would be nice for them to have helos or tanks to pull from as the mission progresses).

Hm. So, do you think the best way for me to go about this would be to spawn maybe 4 or 5 helicopters at an airfield with crew and just sync to virtualize? Then the commander will send them out as necessary?

To be honest, I totally forgot that virtualizing units will make it so the commander can send them out on missions. I figured it would just virtualize and then spawn if it was never attached to a custom objective, or something of that nature.

Though, like you, I am curious about tanks now. Guess I'll wait for a reply from the devs ;D

Dexter started the conversation Helicopter Patrol?.

I'm trying to make it so that helicopters patrol. I figure I can always spawn my own manually placed helicopter and virtualize it, with a simple patrol route, but what if that gets shot down, and I want 1 more helicopter to be patrolling elsewhere as part of the enemy reinforcements? How would I go about doing that? Ideally, I could set it so that 1 helicopter spawns at a time and patrols a specific TAOR, if it gets shot down, during the next reinforcement wave, it would spawn 1 more helicopter. I don't know yet how to do this.

I also don't know how the helicopter would resupply with fuel especially.

    Any help is appreciated!

Dexter started the conversation Module Consolidation Wiki page.

    I was watching this video;

And I saw there was an annotation leading to the link below.

    http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Module_Consolidation

It seems that page does not exist anymore. Figured I'd let you ALiVE devs know :)

@SavageCDN Heroes is correct (cookie for you!) - when profiled, units do not spawn back in their 'exact' place as the function that respawns them looks for a clear, flat-enough area. For units you need in specific spots it's best to just not profile them.

    Thank you for the replies.

Are there future plans to make profiled units spawn more precisely? Like objects when you save the server and exit, etc.
